Gujarat Industries Power Co Ltd is planning to set up a 75 MW solar power project in Charanka in Gujarat. The company has awarded the contract to BHEL. The scope of work includes Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis to commission the 75 MW Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) Power Plant. It may be noted, this is the largest solar power project won by BHEL.
