Gujarat Metro Rail Corp Ltd has commissioned its first phase of Ahmedabad Metro in Gujarat. The first phase covers 6.5 km from connecting Vastral to Apparel park has been operational, while the entire stretch covers 40 kms. It has two corridors one from Astral to Thatlej and another from Gyaspur Depot to Motera stadium. The phase II of the project is around 28 km long and it will cover Motera stadium to Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
