Surat Municipal Corp is planning to set up a wild valley bio diversity park in urban forest on 68 hectares of land in Althan and Bamroli area near the city. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) will be providing a grant of ₹ 800 million towards the project, which covers 80% of the total cost (₹ 1060 million).
The corporation will plant six lakh small and big trees in the area which will also have a cycle track, water bodies, walking tracks and play area among other things.
