AAI has signed an MoU with the state government to develop two airports in Gujarat during the Vibrant Gujarat 2019 Summit. It plans to develop airport at Dholera Special Investment Region with an investment of ₹ 15,000 million.
It also plans to develop a MRO unit in Ankleshwar which will spread across 92 ha. The airport is scheduled to go operational by the year 2022.
