Gujarat announces new tourism policy for 2021-2025

Gujarat announces new tourism policy for 2021-2025 to provide a boost to new avenues like caravan tourism, MICE (meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions) tourism and rural-based experience tourism. The state government is identifying new cluster and such high priority projects will get a host of incentives in specified districts.

The entire districts of Kutch, Dwarka, Narmada, Gir-Somnath, Porbandar, Junagadh and Dang have been earmarked as high priority centres.

Some tweaking of earlier policy is also done, such as removing cap of INR 50 crore for getting 15% subsidy, now such cap is removed for world class tourist projects like amusement or theme park.

It is also plans to set up world class convention centres to attract (MICE tourism).
