Spices Board of India is planning to set up a Spice Park at Unjha in Gujarat, with an objective to provide processing infrastructure to the small and medium players. The total project cost is estimated to be around Rs. 20 crore without the land cost. Spice park will also be set up in Kota in Rajasthan and Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh by the year 2017. Also, the Board has set up a Spices Development Agency (SDA) at Unjha for the seed spices – cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, coriander seeds and fennel seeds.
