Reliance Industries Ltd is planning to set up captive off-shore wind power projects across Gujarat coastline. It may be noted that, RIL has signed an agreement with Denmark-based Stiesdal A/S (Stiesdal) for tech development, and manufacturing of Stiesdal’s hydrogen electrolysers. The agreement also includes modular floating offshore wind turbine foundation Tetra.
Reliance also has a manufacturing facility at Silvassa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, where it makes windmill blades, nacelle cover and nose cones. It may start with a 5.0 MW offshore wind power project and later increase it later.
