SJVN Ltd is planning to set up a 100 MW solar power plant in Raghanesda Solar Park in Gujarat. The company has won the bid for the new project with a quote of ₹ 2.73 per unit. The new plant will be built on BOO (Build, Own and Operate) basis. The project cost is estimated at ₹ 4900 million. The power purchase agreement will be signed with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL). The new plant will go operational by the year 2022.
It may be noted that, currently, SJVN has a total installed capacity of 2015 MW.
